Prominent ligands like aniline, benzoic acid, dithiobenzoic acid, and last but not least an acac derivative are used as the building blocks for the synthesis of mesoporous organosilica materials. The attachment of transition metal ions to the surfaces leads not only to interesting catalytic material

โฆ Synopsis
LIGHT-EMITTING DIODES
One-dimensional ZnO rod structures as an optical wave-guiding medium are proposed as a means of improving the light extraction effi ciency of InGaN/ GaN multiple quantum well blue LEDs. The wave-guiding rods deliver light waves to the top end. Confocal scanning electroluminescence microscopy and micro-electroluminescence spectra confi rm the wave-guiding phenomenon within the ZnO sub-microrods.
