An overview of the reactivity and reaction mechanism of SO;! oxidation-sorption and simultaneous reduction of NO by NH3/02 on copper oxide on alumina is presented. This sorbent-catalyst exhibits high activity in SO2 oxidation-sorption, can be easily regenerated by reductive treatment and shows reaso
