In the earlier paper I did not mention, inadvertently, that "White's" medium as used here has in fact been updated from the original formulation by the substitution in place of ferric sulphate of 10 cm3/litre of a stock iron solution made up as follows: Disodium ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid 0.8 g Ferric chloride 0.1 g Distilled water to I litre.
