Acrylic acid was polymerized in aqueous medium using the peroxy salts Na,S,O,, (NH,),S,O,, and KIO, as initiators. Of those salts, Na,S,O, proved to he the most advantageous. Detailed investigations of the polymerization process were carried out with Na,S,O, alone and with different reductants, name
