β¦ Synopsis
The svnthesis and character&&on of acyclic mononuclear and macrocvclic dinuclear silverf1) comnlexes of liaands _,~~~~~._~_ ~~ , -~~~ ~-._ _ ~, ~~~_ _~~~~ ~___~~ ~~~.._~, ~_~~~r~~~ o--mm derived from the Schiff base condensation of N, N-bis(2-aminoalkyl)-2-phenylethylamines with 2,6_diacetylpyridine are reported and discussed. It is noted that changing the 2-aminoalkyl groups of the alkylamines from ethyl to n-propyl provides a change from an acyclic mononuclear silver(I) compound to a macrocyclic dinuclear silver(I) compound. --* I^^^ _ ___ \ * ^_^ I^_^ Perkin-Eimer w4 (zzu MHZ) or Bruker ~-ZXI (ZYJ MHz) spectrometers; 13C NMR spectra were obtained on a Bruker AM-250 (62.9 MHz) instrument.
