โœฆ Synopsis

This paper considers cibration control of a single massJle.uible rotor on damped flexiblesupports with actitiefeedback control. Both proportional and dericaticefeedback control are utilized. Free cibrations and unbalance response of the rotor-control system are determined. The effect oJ,f'proportional control is to increase the critical speed of'rotating machinery while the effect of dericatiue control is to reduce the amplitude of cibration. Generally larger ratios of support sttjness to shaft stiffness require larger calues of control parameters to produce given awtplitudes of vibration. ivomenclature

This paper considers a single mass flexible rotor on rigid supports with proportional and derivative feedback control. In this paper, an active vibration controller for controlling the dynamics of a flexible rotor running in flexibly-mounted journal bearings is addressed. The control effort consists of two components. The first is a state feedback controller designed to stabilize the system and to achieve desirable

In this paper a technique for ''instantaneous'' reconstruction of state variables of a flexible beam is proposed. The reconstructor uses spline shape functions to interpolate the available measurements and to take into account the boundary conditions. Unlike usual dynamic observers, this technique d
