## Abstract Gradient acoustic noise has been measured and characterized for an epoxyβpotted, shielded gradient assembly in a 1.5 T MRI system. Noise levels vary by 10 dB or more as a function of longitudinal position in the scanner and reflect the pattern of forces applied to the gradient assembly.

## Abstract A method to extract the subject's overt verbal response from the obscuring acoustic noise in an fMRI scan is developed by applying active noise cancellation with a conventional MRI microphone. Since the EPI scanning and its accompanying acoustic noise in fMRI are repetitive, the acousti
An infinite impulse response (IIR) filter based on RLMS algorithm is used to control the sound propagated in a duct. The offline error path modification is also included in the algorithm in order to obtain a better result. Three different types of noise source, i.e. pure tone, dual sine and narrowba
