β¦ Synopsis
An infinite impulse response (IIR) filter based on RLMS algorithm is used to control the sound propagated in a duct. The offline error path modification is also included in the algorithm in order to obtain a better result. Three different types of noise source, i.e. pure tone, dual sine and narrowband-limited noise, are considered. This controller not only has a strong effect on the noise reduction for pure tone and dual sine sound sources, but also reduces the narrowband-limited noise markedly. Further study on the reduction of the broad noise source is required however.

This paper presents a new scheme for active noise control (ANC) in ducts. It uses three pressure sensors to measure and separate the far field wave into the incident wave from the primary noise source, the reflected wave from the duct outlet, and the anti-sound wave generated by the loudspeaker. In active noise control problems, spillover will occur because of the Bode integral constraint if the performance sensors and measurement sensors are collocated, or if the control speakers and the noise sources are collocate. This paper is focused on the implementation of a multiple-channel zero-spi
