✦ Synopsis
Infrared multiphoton dissociation experiments in difluorochloromethane
have been carried out m the presence of different proportions of nitrogen and argon. The influence of homogeneous and heterogeneous collisions in the process is studied and discussed in terms of an intense bottleneck effect which takes place in the low-lying vibrational energy levels of the excited molecule.
