The thermal decomposition of C3AH 6 has been studied by Thorvaldson and his co-workers (1,2) who suggested that an |ntemedtete of composition C3AH1. 5 was formed. This decomposed on further heating to give free lima and C12A7. Najumdar and Roy (3) presented evidence that the most likely reaction was
