The structure of the title complex, [CrCl 3 (C 9 H 21 N 3 )], contains a distorted octahedral chromium(III) centre. The facial tridentate N-coordinating 1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane ligand and three chloride ions make up the first coordination sphere.
