Excised Na Β§ barley roots were suspended in solutions of Na + in combination with NO3-, CI-, and S042-, and effects of the added phytohormone, abscisic acid (ABA), to the medium were determined. Abscisic acid increased the rate of Na + (22Na+) accumulation and the amount of Na + deposited in the vac

Char gasification in steam at 1123 K cat

Potassium, Na and Ca are excellent catalysts for the gasification of Saran char by steam. Hydrogen inhibits catalysis by K, Na and Ca but promotes catalysis by Fe. The extent of the effect of H,S (or COS) on inhibiting char gasification by steam depends upon whether it is added to wet N, or wet HZ.
