In this study we report the first measurements of the pressure-induced lineshift coefficients due to Ar, He, O 2 , and N 2 for 22 rovibrational lines from P(53) to R( ), belonging to the 2 3 band of 16 O 12 C 32 S at 4100 cm Ϫ1 . The lineshift results were obtained from the simultaneous record of th

✦ Synopsis
The absolute wavenumbers for 36 lines of the 3-0 band of 12 C 16 O are measured from P( 17) at 6271 cm 01 to R( 19) at 6405 cm 01 , with an uncertainty of about {3 1 10 05 cm 01 (about {1 MHz). The experimental positions are compared with the best predicted positions from recent Dunham coefficients. Self-induced pressure lineshifts are determined and reach, at most, about 08 1 10 03 cm 01 atm 01 .
