A new 30(14โ13)abeoโdammarane triterpenoid, myrrhasin (1), a new 14(10โ1)abeoโeudesmane sesquiterpenoid, myrrhanolide A (2), and two new cadinane sesquiterpenoids, myrrhanolides B and C (3 and 4, resp.), as well as nine known sesquiterpenoids, 5โ13, were isolated from the resinous exudates of Commiphora myrrha. Their structures were determined on the basis of extensive MS and NMR spectroscopic analyses. The isolated compounds 1โ6 were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against the PC3 and DU145 human prostate tumor cell lines.
