Dear Readers, 2009 was not only the year in which we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Macromolecular Materials and Engineering, but also the most successful year in the history of the journal! Several key indicators show the tremendous recent development of MME: The ISI Impact Factor announced in summer 2009 showed an increase by 41% to a new value of now 1.925 -the highest ever for the journal, confirming the position of Macromolecular Materials and Engineering as the leading journal on the design, modification, characterization, and processing of advanced polymeric materials. At the same time, the absolute number of citations increased by nearly 30% vs. the year before.
