The surface grafting reactions of a series of isocyanates with hydroxyapatite particles at different temperatures were studied by Infrared spectrophotometry (IR) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The study results show that both hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI) and isocyanatoethyl methacrylat

β¦ Synopsis
The regioselectivity of the reaction of 1-(thiophenyl)-(Li-6), 1-(phenylsulfinyl)-(Li-12), 1-(phenylsulfonyl)-(Li-15) and 1-(diethoxyphosphoryl)allyllithium (Li-18) with CO 2 , PhNCO and PhNCS is investigated. Carboxylation of the allyl sulfide 6 and the allyl sulfoxide 12 proceeds with low regioselectivity. On the other hand, an exclusive Ξ³-selectivity is achieved for reactions of CO 2 with Li-15 and Li-18. Both carboxylations are reversible and can be directed to give Ξ±-products by using low temperature workup (0 Β°C). In contrast to

## This paper deals with the relation between polymerization time and poly(p-phenylene) (PPP) yield in the synthesis of PPP by the Kovacic method. It is found that the reaction is uniform in the polymerization time range of less than 2 hr, with a PPP yield of up to about 60%, and then the yield in
