โœฆ Synopsis

The epoxy resin/polyurethane semi-IPN was prepared and the glass transition behavior of the semi-IPN was discussed with DSC and DMA methods. The results show that the two glass transition temperatures (T,) referring to epoxy resin and polyurethane respectively get closer. Between the two T, there exists another Tg related to the interface between the two polymers. SEM indicates that this semi-IPN has a two-phase continuous structure which changes with different weight compositions. This is also proved by testing the Young's modulus. It is found that the IPN system has a cellular structure. Comparatively, the compatibility between the two polymers is the best when the weight ratio of EP/PU is 70/30.

Damping properties of epoxy resin/polyurethane (EP/PU) semi-interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) were studied by the dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) method. It shows that the semi-IPNs have excellent damping properties at ordinary temperature. The maximum value of tan 6 is about 1 when the wei

Epoxy resin-acrylated polyurethane semi-interpenetrating polymer networks (semi-IPNs) were synthesized containing various ratios of the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA)-based epoxy resin and an acrylated aliphatic urethane oligomer. The synthesis was carried out in the presence of a mixture o

We have studied the mechanical property and swelling behavior of semiinterpenetrating polymer networks (semi-IPNs) of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and polyurethane (PU) with reactive groups under different experimental conditions. Tensile strength and elongation of these semi-IPNs are strongly dependen
