✦ Synopsis

In this paper sample of Ni, plain steel and Cr-steel are pack cemented by Al 2 O 3 powder.

The specimens were then isostatic oxidation tested. Using SEM and EPMA, the aluminide layers of samples are characterized and the rates of corrosion in the different samples are evaluated. The effects of Al 2 O 3 powder morphology on the layers properties and corrosion resistance have been compared with each other in detail.
