The gas-phase reaction of the NOa radical with NO, was investigated, using a flash photolysis-visible absorption technique, over the total pressure range 25-400 Torr of nitrogen or oxygen diluent a t 298 2 2 K. The absolute rate constants determined (in units of em3 molecule-' s-') a t 25, 100, and

The hip-intensity laser permits the study of reactions between electronically excited species. The laser irradiation of NOz generated NO: by one-photon excitation and 0( 'D) by two-photon dissociation. These two species react with each other, producing electronically excited NO(A). The product energ
## Abstract The atmospheric reaction NO~2~ + O~3~ → NO~3~ + O~2~ (1) has been investigated theoretically by using the MP2, G2, G2Q, QCISD, QCISD(T), CCSD(T), CASSCF, and CASPT2 methods with various basis sets. The results show that the reaction pathway can be divided in two different parts at the M
