β¦ Synopsis
By means of numerical examples in one dimensional Hamiltonian problems, we study the behavior of the approximation scheme known as the New Tamm-Dancoff method. It is concluded that for good convergence of this, and other related methods, one should arrange to start with a symmetric set of equations.
