✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The fully extended peptide conformation (2.0~5~‐helix) has been investigated for the first time in the solid‐state by ^13^C cross‐polarization magic angle spinning NMR. The compounds examined are members of a terminally protected, homo‐oligopeptide series (from monomer through hexamer) based on C^α, β^‐didehydroalanine. The thermodynamics and kinetics of the diethylbenzene-benzene transalkylation have been studied in liquid phase over faujasite Y in a batch reactor. The reactions were conducted at several temperatures between 423 and 513 K. The main product of the reaction was ethylbenzene. When the molar ratio of

We have recorded high-resolution l3C-nmr spectra of collagen fibrils in the solid state by the cross-polarization-magic-angle-spinning (CP-MAS) method and analyzed the spectra with reference to those of collagenlike polypetides. We used two kinds of model polypeptides to obtain reference 13C chemica
