A gas chromatographic/mass spectrometric assay for the anti-anaphylactic agent Ketotifen is described. The method is based on negative ion chemical ionization, utilizing the electrophoric nature of the underivatized drug. A simple procedure for deuteration of the intact target molecule is presented,
