✦ Synopsis

A sensitive and specific radioimmunoassay method for human erythrocyte carbonic anhydrase B was developed using a solid-phase technique. The assay was found to be sensitive for the detection of nanogram amounts of the enzyme in incubation mixtures. lodination of it gave rise to a loss of antigenicity and a solid-phase assay technique using antibody-coated paper discs was employed in order to exclude the chemical modification or conformational changes of the enzyme. The levels of carbonic anhydrase B in the erythrocytes of newborn infants and in some biological fluids were determined.

A solid-phase radioimmunoassay for the detection of anti-ribosome antibodies is described. Only small quantities of ribosomal particles are required, and low levels of antibody can be detected by very simple procedures. This assay has been used to detect antibodies which bind to intact ribosomes and

In this paper we elaborate a one-step procedure for the selective extraction of urinary 11-dehydrothromboxane B2 on octylsilyl silica cartridges for reliable determination with radioimmunoassay. The immunoreactivity profile of nonselectively extracted urine after HPLC separation showed that as much
