β¦ Synopsis
From the standpoint that the strict estimation of heat released in an enclosure is important to simulate enclosure fires, a new mathematical model involving the combustion efficiency, the temperature dependence of heat capacities, and the composition of burnt gas has been developed. The calculated results are in good agreement with a few experimental results for enclosure fires having different fuel areas and compartment sizes.
