✦ Synopsis

Abstract

We present a simple iterative procedure for approximating the Pareto surface of a set S and the only assumption is that S is closed and bounded. The algorithm creates a sequence of upper bounds for the Pareto surface and these upper bounds tighten towards the surface as the number of iteration loops increases towards infinity. The approximation method is further developed towards a tool for optimization in general situations and it may also be applied in interactive multiobjective optimization. This paper presents a simple grid generation method which adopts the uni-directional interpolation idea but only interpolates one co-ordinate between two opposite boundaries. The use of this new scheme showed that (a) it is convenient to use; and (b) compared with the built-in grid generator of cert

## Abstract We present a general mathematical model that can be used to improve almost all fragment‐based methods for __ab initio__ calculation of total molecular energy. Fragment‐based methods of computing total molecular energy mathematically decompose a molecule into smaller fragments, quantum‐m
