✦ Synopsis
A method that allows staining of polyacrylamide gels for cathepsin B-like activity after isoelectric focusing is presented. The technique is sensitive enough to visualize the isoenzyme patterns in crude-tissue homogenates and, after enzyme activity has been visualized, the gel itself is available for protein staining.
