✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A simple and compact formula of dipole mutual impedance is presented. This method gives an analytical expression of mutual impedance between two real, thick center‐fed dipoles in a general geometrical configuration for small distances. The results of this new formulation show a good agreement with the numerical (NEC‐2) and experimental results. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract We derive rigorous expressions for the internal impedance of a circular wire in the quasi‐static and general cases and compare them with the classical formula. A comparison between the three formulas clearly indicates large discrepancies, even at relatively low frequencies. Β© 2004 Wiley
