A new scheme for calculation of the resonant energy and wdth of an autoiomzmg colhsion system IS proposed. The model IS based on the non-Herrmtean DIM method. The resonant energy 1s calculated directly as an egenvalue of a real matrix, the width IS obtamcd from an approxunate fustarder perturbauon e

✦ Synopsis
The DIM method IS used to compute the resonant energy and the autoionization width for a wide range of confguratlons of the He(2 %)-HZ system. The calculations reveal possible non-admbatlc characrer of the Penrung ~onl~amn ar hgher He(2 3S)-H, colhsion energies The DIM model is found to be apable of producing the information necessxy for a realistic treatment of the dynamic behavlour of the system at room-temperature colhsion energes.
