The literature reveals that few studies have reported the performance of aged, normal adults on various Wechsler Memory Scale subtests. A marked decline in performance on the Visual Reproduction subteat was observed with increasing age. Both level of education and intelligence seemed to exert a substantial infiuence on performance on all three subtests reviewed. * ,

WAIS subtest scores of 400 endogenous mental retardates were examined for sex differences, and these were compared with the sex differences reported for the WAIS standardization sample. Although differences obtained between the two samples on Arithmetic, Digit Symbol and Block Design, the latter is
