✦ Synopsis

Fuzzy rule-based systems are nowadays one of the most successful applications of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic. Most applications use a flat set of fuzzy rules. However, in complex applications with a large set of variables, it is not appropriate to define the system with a flat set of rules because, among other problems, the number of rules increases exponentially with the number of variables. Hierarchical fuzzy systems are one of the alternatives presented in the literature to overcome this problem. In this article we review the latest results related with this type of fuzzy system.

In this paper, we analyse the generalization of the classical method of the construction of a preference structure from a reflexive binary relation to the case of fuzzy binary relations. According to our approach, there are two interesting fuzzy preference structures we can construct from a given re

This article analyzes the role of context in hierarchical fuzzy controllers based on the decomposition of the input space. The usual consideration in most hierarchical fuzzy systems is the reduction of dimensionality problems. This article will analyze how to profit from the qualities of context as

Three obvious necessary conditions for the existence of a k-cycle system of order n are that if n > 1 then n 1 k, n is odd, and 2 k divides n(n -1). We show that if these necessary conditions are sufficient for all n satisfying k I n < 3k then they are sufficient for all n. In particular, there exis

## Abstract Prior narrative and quantitative reviews have suggested that personal construct therapy (PCT) is an efficacious and viable form of treatment. However, these reviews failed to include all published, controlled PCT outcome studies and did not account for all measures of outcome. The prese
