✦ Synopsis
Abstract
An unprecedented halogen‐metal exchange was observed in the reaction between (2‐iodo‐1,3‐xylylene)‐15‐crown‐4 and diethylzinc, which resulted in the formation of (2‐iodozincio‐1,3‐xylylene)‐15‐crown‐4. An X‐ray crystal structure of this product is presented.
