โฆ Synopsis
A rectangular sheet containing a central crack subjected to a normally incident anti-plane shear wave, is discussed in this paper. With the aid of the basic theorem of the Fourier transform and Fourier series, the solution of the dynamic stress intensity factor of this problem may be given by means of the result of a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. It is easily proved that the problems of a strip with a central crack parallel perpendicular to the edges of the strip excited by a normally incident anti-plane shear wave, are the special cases of the solution in this study.
