of the basic theorem of the Fourier cosine transform and Fourier sine series to this study, we can find the general solution of an eccentric crack normal to two interfaces among three layers in a finite rectangular sheet loaded by an arbitrary longitudinal shear stress. It is of interest to note that the stress intensity factor of this problem is independent of material constants of the three-layered system. I think the conclusion is very important for designers and experimenters.
