โœฆ Synopsis

This paper proposes a realization (~/ two-dimensional (2-D) adaptive finite impulse re.v~onse (FIR)filters using affine projection method. The convergence properO~ (?/ the proposed algorithm is superior to that of the 2-D least mean square (LMS) and normalized LMS (NLMS) algorithms. This alqorithm has properties that lie hetween those qf NLMS and reeursive least squares (RLS) algorithms. The concergence qf this filter can be proved. The generali:ation q[ the proposed al.qorithm is also discussed. To illustrate the utility (~[ the proposed technique, this filter is applied to the 2-D system ident ([ication. (

The contribution of this paper is twofold: (1) it provides a thorough analysis of the frequency domain relationships relating two affine-warped images and (2) based on a fundamental equation between energy radial projections, it presents an original algorithm for estimating the global 2D affine tran
