β¦ Synopsis
A new type of 2-D cascade-parallel adaptive infinite impulse response (IIR) flters
with adaptive algorithm based on the concept of back propagation method is developed. This" class q[flter consists qf parallel blocks each of which includes all-zero (transversal) and all-pole sections in cascade ~)rm realizations. At first a 2-D cascade-parallel fiher structure is' introduced, then an e[ficient adaptive algorithm is" proposed usin9 the concept of backpropagatin9 the desired signal. Finally, the applications of this" O,pe of 2-D adaptive HR filters in 2-D system ident!iqcation and noise reduction in an image are illustrated with numerical examples.
