โœฆ Synopsis

A simple, highly effective, and rapid method for the removal of [lZSI]iodide following iodination of protein solutions is described. Greater than 98% of free iodide is removed in approximately 2 min with protein recoveries in excess of 90%. An advantage of the procedure is the confinement of radioactive waste to small easily disposable tubes.

A simple and rapid technique is described for the removal of cholate, deoxycholate and Triton X-100 from protein solutions. The procedure involves a 15min centrifugation of the sample on a Toyopearl HW40F bed prepared in a microcentrifuge tube. The merit of this method is that desalting or exchange

## Abstract A quantum chemical method for rapid optimization of protein structures is proposed. In this method, a protein structure is treated as an assembly of amino acid units, and the geometry optimization of each unit is performed with taking the effect of its surrounding environment into accou
