โฆ Synopsis
A rapid method for the assay of epoxide hydrase activity is described. 3-Methylcholanthrene-11.1 Z-oxide is employed as substrate and high speed liquid chromatography is used to separate and quantitate tram-11. I ?-dihydro-I 1.12dihydroxy-3-methylcholanthrene (product) formation. The determination of product at picomole levels can be obtained.

A simplified assay method is described for the determination of protein kinase activity. Enzymatic activity is followed by measuring the incorporation of 32P from the terminal phosphoryl group of nucleoside triphosphates into protein substrate. Separation of the resulting 32P-labeled phosphoprotein
Starch phosphorylase (EC 2.4.1.1) and ADPglucose pyrophosphorylase (EC 2.7.7.27) activities can be measured very accurately and quickly using a recording pH meter. Activities less than 0.28 nmolimin are readily measured.
A rapid and sensitive fluorimetric assay for inosine and adenosine is described in which either or both metabolites are enzymically converted to hypoxanthine, which is then estimated by the rate of appearance of hydrogen peroxide after the addition of xanthine oxidase. The method has been used to as
