B-chromosomes were studied in two Spanish populations of Locusta migratoria. Both exhibit a high frequency of B-carrying individuals (75% and 94%). In both the B-chromosomes are mitotically unstable and they accumulate in the male germ line. The mean rate of accumulation is 28.5% in Bafios de la Enc
