β¦ Synopsis
A method is described for predicting changes in flood frequencies resulting from various causes affecting runoff in a watershed. The method utilizes the curve number and the traingular unit hydrograph procedures of the United States Department of Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service to transform rainfall frequencies into frequencies of peak discharge. The theory underlying the method is discussed. Application is illustrated by an example.

## Abstract This paper addresses the application of a dataβbased mechanistic (DBM) modelling approach using transfer function models (TFMs) with nonβlinear rainfall filtering to predict runoff generation from a semiβarid catchment (795 km^2^) in Tanzania. With DBM modelling, time series of rainfall
This paper outlines a physically based model developed for prediction of both arid region Β―ash Β―oods and associated transmission loss. It is based on coupling numerical solutions of the St Venant equations and the kinematic wave equation for channel and overland Β―ow routing, respectively, with the R
