✦ Synopsis
Differential scanning calorimetry has revealed the presence of an endothermal process at 150.0 " 0.5 K in the w x Ž . p-tert-butylcalix 8 arene 1:1 C , that is not associated with a structural change or a discontinuity. We attributed this event 60 to a new orientational transition which is different from that in pristine C . At low-temperature, some change in the axis of 60 reorientation of solvated C molecules may be due to an interaction between C and CH groups of the solvate, related 60 60 3
with an unknown conformation of CH in the host.
