✦ Synopsis

Abstract

This study presents a broadband microstrip slot array structure with a novel feeding technique, which offers enhanced bandwidth and very low cross‐polarization levels, targeting the satellite reception application market in the Ku‐Band. The single element module and the antenna array formulations of two, four, and eight elements are examined, fabricated, and experimentally characterized. Details of the design procedure and experimental results are discussed. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A novel ultra‐wideband wide‐slot antenna fed with a microstrip‐line is presented. The antenna is composed of a circular microstrip patch and a semicircular arc cut on the ground of the microstrip line. The measured results show that the proposed antenna has an impedance bandwidth of mor

## Abstract A novel compact and microstrip‐fed antenna with band‐stop characteristic for ultra‐wideband applications is presented. By embedding a notch in the ground plane, the ultra‐wideband property for the proposed antenna is achieved. To create a frequency band‐stop characteristic, a simple U‐s

## Abstract In this paper, the regular microstrip dipole antenna shape is modified by adding upper and lower triangular patches, which makes it look like a rhombus. The rhombus shape is chosen because of its wideband characteristics over the rectangular one. The presented antenna provides a wide ba

## Abstract A small multi‐slot antenna is designed for RF and microwave sensors and radar applications. The design was realized using a series of parallel slots with tapered lengths, fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) to support wideband operation. The designed multi‐slot antenna provides a 50% band

## Abstract A microstrip‐fed printed bow‐tie antenna is presented in order to achieve wide bandwidth, high gain, and size reduction. A comparison between the bow‐tie and the quasi‐Yagi (dipole and director) antennas shows that the bow‐tie antenna has a wider bandwidth, higher gain, lower front‐to‐b

## Abstract This article presents a band‐notched planar slot antenna presented to overcome interference with some already existing standards such as the IEEE802.11a and HYPERLAN/2 systems. The slot antenna, evolved from an elliptical aperture antenna, is fed by CPW with an elliptical tuning‐stub to
