Abstract
A novel ultra‐wideband wide‐slot antenna fed with a microstrip‐line is presented. The antenna is composed of a circular microstrip patch and a semicircular arc cut on the ground of the microstrip line. The measured results show that the proposed antenna has an impedance bandwidth of more than 150% (|S~11~| < −10 dB) and stable radiation patterns over its whole frequency band. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
