โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A new example of [2+4] cycloaddition of the lowโcoordinated diphosphaโanalog of butadiene protected with a 2,4โdiโtertโbutylโ6โmethylphenyl group has been described. Xโray structure investigations of monomer 4b and dimer 5a have been reported for the first time. ยฉ 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract Novel complexes [(C~5~Me~5~)~2~Ln][B(C~6~F~5~)~4~] (Lnโ=โPr, Nd, or Gd) were prepared, which in combination with ^__i__^Bu~3~Al efficiently induce highly 1,4โcisโspecific polymerization of butadiene. The activity of the Gd complex/^__i__^Bu~3~Al system is high enough to exhibit good cat
