Abstract
A new three‐dimensional zinc phosphite, Zn~3~(HPO~3~)~4~· Ni(en)~2~(H~2~O)~2~, which is the first example of an open‐framework metal phosphite templated by a transition‐metal complex, was hydrothermally synthesized. The connectivity of the strictly alternating ZnO~4~ and HPO~3~ units results in a three‐dimensional framework with intersecting 8‐ring and 12‐ring channels, in which the transition‐metal complexes reside. ## Abstract By application of a combinatorial approach, a new open‐framework zinc phosphate [C~6~H~16~N~2~]·[Zn~2~(HPO~4~)~3~] (denoted as phase D) has been obtained in the Zn(OAc)~2~·2H~2~O/H~3~PO~4~/__N__,__N′__‐dimethylpiperazine/ethylene glycol solvothermal reaction system at 180 °C. The factor
