✦ Synopsis

A test method for spherical mirrors with super-long radius of curvature that only one compensator is employed to measure the radii of curvature of both concave and convex mirrors is presented. With this testing system, the surface figure and radius of curvature of spherical mirrors can be measured simultaneously. Using the ABCD matrix method, a precise formula for radius of curvature calculation is deduced. Experimental results show that the relative measurement error of this method is less than 4.2 Γ‚ 10 Γ€ 4 .

We introduce a simple ray tracing method for measuring the vertex radius of curvature in situ, based on projecting spot array rays onto the surface of an aspheric mirror, and receiving the incident and the reflected rays. The method was used to measure the vertex radiuses of curvature of a spherical

A mathematical method for temperature correction of potentiometric pH measurements is presented as an alternative to the traditional electronic method. The method provides corrections which are comparable or superior to electronic ones. and it is applicable to pH meters that lack electronic temperat
