โœฆ Synopsis

A mathematical method for temperature correction of potentiometric pH measurements is presented as an alternative to the traditional electronic method. The method provides corrections which are comparable or superior to electronic ones. and it is applicable to pH meters that lack electronic temperature compensation.

A nonintrusive temperature measurement technique is developed for noncontact measurement of the temperature of single particles with >200 pm dia. It is based on the temperature dependence of the fluorescence spectrum resulting from irradiation of a certain phosphor mixture with UV light by applying
