## Abstract The performance of an actively mode‐locked fiber‐ring laser with large dispersion cavity is described. The laser output characteristics remain stable for long periods of time without external adjustment. The very stable, transform‐limited optical pulses at a repetition rate of 10 GHz we

We report on the dual-wavelength operation in an erbium-doped fiber ring laser mode-locked through nonlinear polarization rotation technique. In addition to dual-wavelength continuous wave operation, alternative mode-locking at the dual wavelengths was realized experimentally. By analyzing the trans

We propose and demonstrate a passively mode-locked Erbium-doped fiber laser based on symmetrical nonlinear optical loop mirror. The nonlinear optical loop mirror with intensity-depended transmission can act as an equivalent saturable absorber, which results in passively mode-locking of fiber laser.
