โœฆ Synopsis

The notion of stimulated emission of acoustic power is introduced. Its occurence is illustrated by analysing the power radiated from a vibrating fiat plate. Finally, it is shown that stimulated emission from a vibrating sphere can be utilized as a means of producing narrow band amplification of acoustic signals.
