✦ Synopsis
Abstract
This letter presents a new aperture coupled microstrip antenna with a nonsymmetric U‐shaped feed line and two rectangular slots on the ground plane. Simulation results show that the antenna has VSWR <2 from 10.5 to 22 GHz and the simulated gain bandwidth (above 7 dB) of the antenna is 6.6 GHz (47%). Good agreement is obtained between simulation and experimental results. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this paper, a microstrip filter has been designed, fabricated, and measured for application in ultra‐wideband antennas. By using the combination of a band‐stop filter and a low‐pass filter, the band‐selective characteristics can be demonstrated. In order to enhance the suppression of
## Abstract A new aperture‐coupled patch antenna is presented, in which the patch is surrounded by a conductor ground and the sides of the dielectric substrate are covered with conductor walls. The antenna was investigated numerically and experimentally. Result shows that the antenna has a bandwidt
## Abstract In this article, a novel ultra wideband (UWB) pulse generator using microstrip coupled lines (MCL) is described. The MCL circuit generates an UWB pulse which can used both in UWB communication transmitter and receiver circuits as well as ground penetrating and wall through radars. The p
## Abstract A novel ultra‐wideband wide‐slot antenna fed with a microstrip‐line is presented. The antenna is composed of a circular microstrip patch and a semicircular arc cut on the ground of the microstrip line. The measured results show that the proposed antenna has an impedance bandwidth of mor
