✦ Synopsis
Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new ultra‐wideband (UWB) antenna for UWB applications. The proposed antenna is designed to operate from 3.2 to 12 GHz. It consists of a rectangular patch with two steps, a single slot on the patch, and a partial ground plane. Details of the proposed antenna design and measured results are presented and discussed. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A novel, miniature balanced antipodal printed slot antenna for ultra-wideband applications is proposed. The antenna is fed by strip-line with a fork-like stub. By employing balanced antipodal structure, not only good omnidirectional performance but also compact size is achieved. Several properties o
## Abstract A novel low‐profile ultra‐wideband (UWB) antenna suitable for mobile‐phone applications as an internal antenna is presented. The proposed antenna mainly comprises a planar metal‐plate monopole folded into a low‐profile structure and a matching tuning portion for achieving a very wide op
